Naijat News – According to a reliable source, President Buhari is Back in Abuja after medical trip to UK. President Muhammadu Buhari has landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 5:30pm on June 19, after spending 13 days in the United Kingdom.
The president was received by Zamfara state Governor, Abdulaziz Yari; Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello; members of the Federal Executive Council, top government officials, federal lawmakers and service chiefs among others.
With the elaborate airport ceremonies over, the president and some top aides left for the presidential villa. While the leader of the nation was asked about his health status, President Buhari said that he was okay. “You have seen me. You saw me when I was going. You can do the assessment yourself. “I am okay.
You can see me inspecting the guard of honour. You can see I am taller than you. Do you want to wrestle with me, you can do so,” Buhari said. The president departed Abuja for the British capital, London, on June 6. Initially the trip was planned as a 10-day vacation.
The medical check-up with an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist was scheduled for the president. However, the duration of Buhari’s stay was unexpectedly prolonged.
The president was examined and treated by his personal physician and an ENT specialist in Abuja, but both doctors recommended further check-up abroad ‘purely as a precaution’. The Nigerian leader had a number of meetings and discussions while on holiday.
Buhari met the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu, the prominent Yoruba monarch Oba Sikiru Adetona and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. President Buhari resumes work on Monday, June 20.
